Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Cedar & Breath does not sell personal information for money to anybody, and never has. However, when third-party advertising is active on this site, your browser may share advertising identifiers and cookie data with Google and its advertising partners. Several US state privacy laws classify that kind of cross-context advertising disclosure as a "sale" or as "sharing", so we treat it as one and give you a clear way out.

Global Privacy Control, in detail

Global Privacy Control is a signal your browser can send to tell every site you visit that you do not want your personal information sold or shared. It is legally recognised as a valid opt-out in a growing number of US states, and it is far more practical than clicking a link on every site you use.

We honour it. Specifically:

• If your browser sends the Sec-GPC: 1 request header, or exposes navigator.globalPrivacyControl as true, we record an opt-out immediately on page load.
• No advertising or measurement cookies are permitted.
• The consent banner is not shown, because the question has already been answered.
• We publish a machine-readable confirmation at /.well-known/gpc.json, which states {"gpc": true}.

Firefox, Brave and DuckDuckGo send the signal with a setting you can switch on. Chrome, Edge and Safari need an extension. Instructions are at globalprivacycontrol.org.

Your other rights

Depending on your state you may have the rights below, and we extend all of them to every US visitor rather than checking where you live:

• Know what we have collected, why, and who we shared it with.
• Access the specific information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete what we hold, except records we must keep by law.
• Portability — receive it in a readable format.
• Opt out of targeted advertising, and of sale or sharing.
• Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We collect none, so there is nothing to limit.
• Appeal a refusal. Reply to it and a different person reviews it.
• Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these. We will not charge you more or give you less.

How to make a request

Email classes@cedarandbreath.info with "Privacy request" in the subject line, telephone (802) 555‑0156 during office hours (Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm Eastern Time), or use the contact form and choose the privacy topic.

Tell us what you want us to do and give us an email address we can reply to. We verify a request by replying to the address the information is associated with, which is the only identifier we hold. We do not ask you to create an account, because there are no accounts on this site.

We respond within 45 calendar days. If we need longer, the law allows one extension of a further 45 days and we will tell you before the first period expires, with the reason.

Authorized agents

Someone may make a request on your behalf. Say so in the message, and we will ask for written authorization signed by you, or proof of power of attorney, before we act.

Advertising controls elsewhere

These settings affect advertising across many sites, not only this one:

• Google Ad Settings — turn off personalized advertising from Google.
• optout.aboutads.info — the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out page.
• optout.networkadvertising.org — the Network Advertising Initiative's opt-out page.

These are controlled by the advertising industry rather than by us, and because they generally rely on cookies themselves, clearing your cookies can clear the opt-out. The Global Privacy Control signal does not have that problem, which is why we recommend it first.
